“A funny thing happens when you look through vintage photographs. As you inspect the century-old, cracked and creased images all awash with silvery gelatin, you expect the people to somehow look different than modern-day man. But in these photographs from Sydney’s police department, posted by La boite verte, almost every face looks like someone you might know. Though we may never know the truth, each facial expression carefully conceals the story of the individuals’ run-in with the law”….
